New “Italian tapas” coming to Bar Cyrk space
Two first-time restaurateurs are taking the western half of the Bar Cyrk space — at 50 Hudson but using the address 90 Thomas — and making it a full service restaurant called Donella that they are describing as an upscale tasting menu or Italian snack bar. “It won’t be the usual pasta,” said one owner. The space will have 17 tables, 34 chairs and 10 seats at the bar. The hours will be 5p till midnight.
Their hope is to be open in September.

Whatever happened to the reopening of Bar Cyrk? Are plans still on to reopen? Is there a new opening date? (The interior is one of the best spaces, the fresh herb cocktails were so yummy and the pizzas were great.)
That space was taken over by folks who planned to open an Italian restaurant, but that was July 2019, so I assume it’s no longer in motion…
