250 WATER GOING FORWARD WITH CLEANUP
Patch reports that the cleanup of the mercury at the Howard Hughes site at 250 Water and next door to Peck Slip School will go forward, despite parents’ demands that a third-party consultant be engaged to oversee the cleanup. More from parents TK.

INSIDE THE APARTMENT OF FASHION INSIDERS

TECH ENTREPRENEUR MOVES INTO 401 WASHINGTON
The Real Deal reports that Nat Turner, who sold his tech advertising firm, Invite Media, to Google for $81 million and his healthcare tech firm for $1.9 billion, bought the penthouse at 401 Washington / 71 Laight for $19.5 million.

2 N. MOORE SELLS AT HALF PRICE
The Real Deal reports that 2 N. Moore – which has both the small corner building and the six-story building next door on W. Bway – sold for $27 million to an unknown buyer. The asking price five years ago when it first went on the market was $48 million. The sellers are Mark and Noelle Zittman, who made $2389 per square foot on the deal. The house has a three-car garage and a 50-foot heated pool. Buckle your seatbelt before watching the video above.

CHIEF GOES NATIONAL
Bloomberg reports that Chief, the women’s club on Hudson, is expanding: “Chief on Tuesday announced a $22 million series A investment round led by Ken Chenault at General Catalyst and Alexa Von Tobel at Inspired Capital. The chief executive officer of American Express Co. until 2018, Chenault will also join Chief’s board, as will von Tobel. Chief plans to use the money to expand in New York and open chapters in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, and Washington by the end of 2020.” Just as they said when they opened!

  2. 250 Water huge disappointment to the community. I don’t believe the environment will be safe. We been lied to before by EPA 911. Huge whole which will be dangerous during flooding and storms. Toxins lurking and lies from the Hughes Corporation about the size of their “ monster “ building which will cover and shadow our seaport. People who live there properly value will go down. Greed wins again
