FLOATING BILLBOARDS SOON TO GO?
Crain’s reports that the floating billboards, which can be seen puttering up and down the Hudson and East Rivers, might soon be forced out of the water. On Tuesday, Gov. Cuomo signed a bill that “gives local governments the ability to prohibit vessels equipped with billboards from operating or anchoring within 1,500 feet of their shores.”

TICKET SELLERS TO BE KICKED OUT OF BATTERY PARK
The Post reports that street vendors who push tickets to boat rides that circumvent the Statue of Liberty are getting evicted from Battery Park. Some of the sellers protested, but NY Waterway will begin to revoke berthing permits if selling continues. The policy went into effect yesterday.
CORRECTION: The Nightingale is about British colonialism in Tasmania, not Tanzania.
I think the movie ‘Nightingale’ is about TASMANIA, not Tanzania!!! An ocean apart!!!
Good news with a push getting rid of those very aggressive and scary ticket vendors, no more floating advertisements and having the wonderful Aisling Franciosi in the neighborhood – welcome!
Where I live I very unfortunately see the mobile billboard boat daily. The current state is that it now sticks to the west/Hudson river side and turns around at the end of Manhattan to loop back west. It remains awful and annoying. I am assuming this is a legal strategy so they can say they are legal in the state of Jersey as it is a shared waterway. It is definitely not gone yet.
