MEXICAN FAST CASUAL ON GOLD
Adding to the Mexican fast food array in the neighborhood: Casa Taqueria at 40 Gold is classic Mexican fast food — tacos, burritos, quesadillas — and they have a Taco Box with 15 assorted tacos, chips and salsa, which sounds like the perfect teenager sleepover order.

AMERICAN INDIAN FASHION SHOW

PUTTING OUT FIRES
I had never seen a fire in a trash can in New York City before EVER and here it was in Tribeca, a significant blaze coming from the can on the northwest corner of Broadway and Warren as I crossed coming from the train. I put it out with a bottle of water from the nearby hotdog stand (set me back two bucks!) but the pros from Ladder 1 came within a couple minutes and did the job right — it was still burning down at the bottom. Those guys have backpacks with high pressure hoses attached. Super handy.

Coco looks nice. Absolutely nothing unique or game changing, but a cute place worth a try. Sadly, it will probably be pretty dead on the weekends, especially with the cooler Fall weather approaching (then Winter) and weekend NFL/NCAA football being the only real major draw for the Front St pubs/grills.
Also…how can any FiDi place afford NOT to serve a Lunch?
