STRETCH OUT AT NEW SPOT ON GREENWICH
Outer Reach — a new stretch studio at 345 Greenwich just south of Harrison (in the old Giorgia space) is open for business, with private sessions and classes offered all day long. More TK on their techniques, but in the meantime, stop in and say hi to Daysha Rodriguez, who’s wearing a jumpsuit hand-dyed by the owner. “Every time I take a class I feel two inches taller!” she said. That would work for me.
JAPANESE RESTAURANT ON WARREN TO OPEN IN WINTER
Looks like the shoebox-sized Japanese restaurant scheduled for 20 Warren is coming along — but not quickly. The general manager wouldn’t let me take pictures or give much more info other than she thinks it would be ready by the end of the year. You can see more details in Erik’s post from April, when they applied for their liquor license at CB1, when it seemed it would be a omakase sushi bar that also served wagyu beef. Now the name is set as Icca, as the sign says. The plan was — and looked like still from my glance at a dark but dramatic interior, with cool lighting over the bar — 15 seats at a bar and 1o seats at a sushi counter.
MERYL’S OLD PLACE ON LAIGHT RELISTED
Meryl Streep moved to Cali last fall and listed her (super sweet) penthouse at 92 Laight (River Lofts) then, but now it’s reduced in price to $18.25 mill, restaged (Meryl’s decor was much homier, though this is of course beautiful) and open for business with Juliette Janssens and Allison Koffman of Sotheby’s. Some photos here, and something from the WSJ here.
