CHEERS TO TWO DECADES IN THE ART BIZ
Tribeca Gallery District newcomer James Cohan gets a shout-out in Forbes for hitting his 20th anniversary.

BOY ASSAULTED ON CANAL
The Trib reports that a teenage boy walking home along Canal near Watts at 5 in the afternoon was confronted and slapped by a group of eight teens on bikes who demanded his money, but then scattered once he couldn’t get his wallet out soon enough.

LOFTS AS PARTY SPACES
The Post says folks are acquiring and renovating apartments so they can serve as venues for hosting charity benefits, featuring Purvi Padia’s loft here. Seems to me it’s more obvious to say they just wanted a house made for parties.

DANCE WITH MISS RACHEL UPTOWN
The West Side Rag reports that Dance with Miss Rachel will open another location at 529 Columbus Ave. at 86th Street. The new location will expand on the school’s Baby Bop! music program for babies as young as 10 weeks, private piano and voice lessons and core classes.

OMNY EXPANDING HERE AND BEYOND
The “One Metro New York” system, or OMNY, is coming to Whitehall Street R and W station and the South Ferry 1 station next month.
