BED BATH & BEYOND LOOKING HEALTHIER
It seems that the reports of the death of Bed Bath & Beyond have been greatly exaggerated — and that all those signs saying a renovation was coming actually meant… a renovation was coming. Staff told me they did most of the work during business hours, which must have been tricky, and that they all love the new layout. But they also said there’s less product on the floor. The aisles are wider, the walls are lower, and there are now giant signs for each section of beyondness.
PS 89 WINTER BAZAAR THIS WEEKEND
PS 89 will host a winter bazaar at the school this coming Saturday, Dec. 14, from 2 to 5p, with a curated group of vendors offering unique products, some at discounts. There will also be a raffle table with a chance to win iPads, Nintendo Switch, Dyson vacuum, Monster Remote Trucks and more For $5 a ticket. Also: hot chocolate and crafting activities for kids.
PATH WTC STATION OPEN WEEKENDS THROUGH HOLIDAYS
Beginning November 30, the World Trade Center’s PATH station will remain open on weekends throughout the holiday season. Weekend closures will resume on Jan. 4, 2020, to continue repair work in the tunnels between WTC and Exchange Place stations. These closures are expected to last until December 2020.
CHRISTMAS COMES TO WASHINGTON MARKET PARK
The Friends of Washington Market Park lit the park tree on Friday and with the help of members’ kids, added a few ornaments. Hence they are all at knee level. Santa also made his annual appearance on Saturday, spending about an hour and a half taking requests from a long line of neighborhood kids.
Anyone notice the coming soon sign on the space the 111 murray park? Oneseed? Is it a restaurant?
Funny, I just toured the building and didn’t notice and they didn’t mention, but I’ll ask!
