El Vez, Stephen Starr‘s Mexican outlet on Vesey Street (the first El Vez was in Philly and he also has Pastis, which is back open in the Meatpacking District), reopened this weekend and is now serving Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 8p. Call 212-233-2500 for pickup, or use Caviar, DoorDash or GrubHub for delivery.

The menu is not as extensive as the usual, but there’s some classics — build your own burritos, quesadillas — and some special treats like cauliflower tacos and mahi bites for kids.

You can also take a tortilla making class on Zoom this Friday from the former chef here (now at the Fort Lauderdale El Vez), Darren Carbone.
