Likely everyone saw this in The Post already, but putting it here as a paper-of-record thing, so we can keep track of what is going on here lately. A 46-year-old man was stabbed three times in the upper arm and armpit as he stood on the corner of Reade and Church, in front of Hungry Ghost, on Saturday morning at 2 a.m. Police said he was in critical condition.
The victim told police he was ordering an Uber when an unknown male came up and stabbed him. The victim was taken to Bellevue for treatment and he said the suspect fled southbound on Church. There are no arrests as of Sunday morning and the investigation is ongoing.
A neighbor who lives on Reade Street told The Post: “It’s horrible. This is Tribeca. You don’t really have these types of things around here usually. It’s quite frightening. People don’t even lock their doors in this neighborhood . . . It’s normally really, really safe.”
