DUANE PARK FUNDRAISER + ANNUAL SHRED DAY
Twice a year, Friends of Duane Park asks for donations to support the park’s maintenance — plantings, pest control, insurance — since the park is maintained privately (except for garbage pickup). The funding also supports the events that go on throughout the year. The fundraising goal this spring is $15,000, about half of which will go to cover the costs of painting the historic lampposts that surround the park. Donate here.
And on Saturday, April 24, from 10 to 2, the park will provide a shredder as part of its Earth Day festivities. That gives you a week to clean out your files.
ALTERATION SPECIALISTS IS OPEN

They offer in studio and in home appointments. They will resume normal business hours — six days a week, 10a – 7p) starting in June.
