Anotheroom has opened — this time for good

Anotheroom, the sweet little speakeasy just sough of Tribeca Park reopened this week after a winter hiatus. It’s nice to see this bar-lover’s bar back open.

Manager Adam Greenberg — above (and I asked him to take off his mask so I could grab a shot) — said after trying to open last fall, he realized the capacity restrictions left him about 30 percent short. His analysis shows in a simple fashion what all the neighborhood’s bars and restaurants faced this past year: he needed to bill about $40 per seat to cover costs, but his is not a $40 a person kind of place — it’s more like $25 a person. So there you have it.

Anyway, great to have it back now. Hours will be Tuesday through Sunday, 3p till 2a till he can see what the crowds are like. If things pick up, they will open earlier in the week too.

  1. Exciting. Used to love this place. Never can forget that large blackboard.

  2. Stopped by last night and had a few rounds. Go support this unique local business!

  3. At some point in what I like to think of as the recent past, this was the site of a store that sold fish. No?
