250 WATER CLEANUP PLAN DEADLINE

The remedial action plan for the 250 Water brownfield cleanup is now open for public review until Sept. 30 and the state Department of Environmental Conservation is accepting written comment till then. The DEC will also attend and present on the plan at CB1’s Environmental Protection Committee on Sept. 21. You can attend remotely here.

PIXAR PUTT ADDING MORE AFTER HOURS
Pixar Putt, which has 18 Pixar-themed mini golf holes set up in front of Pier A at The Battery, is adding more After Dark sessions for 18+ on Thursday nights from 7 to 10p. The course is open seven days a week: Sunday to Wednesday from 10a to 8p, and Thursday to Saturday from 10a to 10p. But NB: the late hours from 7p to 10p on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are only for 18+ (which I have to say is odd. What happens that kids can’t be there??). Last tee time is 8:30p.

BMCC TO LAY WREATH FOR 9/11 VICTIMS
The president of BMCC, Anthony E. Munroe, will preside over a wreath-laying ceremony on Sept. 9 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11. BMCC is the only college in the U.S. to have lost a building to a terrorist attack. When 7 WTC burned all day after the towers fell, it collapsed against on Fiterman Hall, which was razed and rebuilt. The campus was command central for the NYPD and Port Authority on 9/11, and reopened for classes within three weeks. Eight students and alumni were killed that day in the towers.

WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S
