TRIBECA’S KITCHEN IS NOW MARATHI GREEK BISTRO
Andreas Kousoudakis Jr. has transformed Tribeca’s Kitchen into Marathi, a restaurant inspired by his summers on the beaches of Crete — it opens today. The menu will focus on homestyle Crete cooking created by executive chef Nicholas Poulmentis. More TK, but if you want to get in there soon, reservations are here and the hours are 7a to 10p.
FIREWORKS FOR DIWALI
Just so you are prepared: there will be a fireworks show on Nov. 3 at 7:30p on the Hudson, a thousand feet west of Rockefeller Park, for 10 minutes in duration.
BOGARDUS GETS VICTORIAN AWARD
Bogardus Plaza was one of this year’s awardees of the Metropolitan Chapter of the Victorian Society in America, the only national non-profit organization committed to historic preservation of nineteenth century heritage. It was founded in 1966 in reaction to the 1964 destruction of the McKim, Mead & White 1910 Pennsylvania Station.
BALLFIELD WALL IS ALMOST COMPLETED
The wall being built around the ballfields to protect them from flooding is almost complete. This is temporary according to the BPCA — since once they building out the much more robust resiliency measures for the entire north-west segment, they won’t need this.

Is it me or does the BPC wall look very different from the renderings? Weren’t they supposed to have some cut-out designs on them for some transparency? Or is the dark grayish blueish wall a covering over the actual wall?
