THE PATISSERIE CHANSON BAKERY IS OPEN
The bakery side of Patisserie Chanson, the former Maison Kayser on the corner of Greenwich and Harrison, is open now 9 to 5 with coffee, pastry, a small selection of sandwiches and breads. The plan now is to open the dining room for dinner next week or soon after, and open for lunch starting in the new year.
CONNECTION BUS IS ON HOLD FOR NOW
The Downtown Alliance’s Connection bus service that loops through Tribeca, Fidi and BPC has been suspended since they were not fully satisfied with the old operator (my words). The service will resume by Jan. 15. “We apologize for any inconvenience that the interruption in service may have caused, but come mid-January, our ADA-accessible red buses will be back with a new operator who shares our commitment to providing a superior service.”
SUSHI OF GARI IS OPEN
Customers were already seated last night — I didn’t have time to go in but will soon, since it looks especially pretty with the new renovations.
ROSE BOX IS EXPANDING
The women behind Rose Box, custom designed arrangements of preserved roses in all sorts of colors, are opening a new shop on the Upper East Side. The opened their first brick-and-mortar during the pandemic on Franklin and Greenwich.
Chanson is a little pricy but the coffee and pastries are top notch. Nice to have a local spot looks this.
$7.00 for a small baguette that is so crusty it could chip a tooth. Arcade shouldn’t worry about any competition!
Chanson is a little pricey but darn those are good and tasty pastries!
