MTA CONDUCTOR ARRESTED FOR FAKE PLACARD
The Post reports (and J. caught the story) that the NYPD arrested an MTA conductor on Friday in front of 100 Church for allegedly putting a fake EMT placard on his vehicle. “Harry Gomez, 38, was nabbed just before 2:30 p.m. in front of 100 Church Street. A 311 call led to his arrest, cops said. He was off duty at the time.” His navy blue sedan was towed away.

MORE ON THE FUTURE OF OUTDOOR DINING
Bloomberg has a story on the city’s vision for the permanent curbside dining program, quoting the head of DOT’s Open Restaurants Program as saying that the city will push for “attractive and well maintained setups,” rather than “these full houses that you’re seeing in the street.” The permanent program will start in 2023.

BUYK FILES FOR BANKRUPTCY
The Journal reports that the rapid grocery-delivery company Buyk — which had the ground floor retail space at 356 Broadway (thanks to M. for the heads up on this) will shut down permanently after the Russian invasion of Ukraine restricted their access to funds — Putin restricted the flow of money outside the country. The company has stopped operations and will sell off its inventory.
