The veterinarian taking over the former Polarn O. Pyret space at 200 Chambers just off West Street is URvet Care, a family-owned chain that was founded by a husband and wife team on the Upper East Side this fall, and will open on Feb. 1.

The facility will provide primary health care, dental, oncology, surgical, pharmacy, and seven-day urgent care services. The couple — Aimee and Evan Stoopler (Aimee is in the photo above) — is also planning to open more facilities around the city.

The space will have four exam rooms, a dedicated dental suite, surgery suite, radiology and ultrasound and on-site pharmacy. There will be three doctors on staff. Oh, and a coffee bar, which I have to assume is not for the pets.
