March 11, 2011 Restaurant/Bar News
Here’s some news that’ll probably brighten the day of the increasingly residential Hudson Square area (even if it doesn’t make up for the doomed trees). Can’t say where I heard this, but I’m feeling about 95% sure it’s reliable: Don Hill’s, the can’t-be-killed bar/club at Spring and Greenwich reinvented in the past (guessing) 18 months, has lost its lease. Again, I haven’t confirmed it—I left a message—so take it with a grain of salt.
UPDATE 3/18: I just got a call from Don Hill’s—I guess they don’t check their voicemail that often—saying that the rumor is “definitely false.”

Ahhh, tales from the universe outside of Tribeca … I hear there are monsters north of Canal.
Wow! That is crazy where did you hear this from? Don?
