Glad Tidings Tabernacle, the church currently renting at 20 Murray that had been planning on moving to Franklin St., may not be staying in Tribeca after all. “We’re selling that building,” said G.T. staffer Joanna about 117 Franklin (bet. Hudson and Greenwich). There’s a buyer lined up, but it’s not official yet—she said to expect news in a month or so.

“The building ended up being too small for us, given our growth,” she explained. “We’re looking to purchase elsewhere. We’re looking in Tribeca—we’d love to stay here—but we’ve also looked at buildings in Chelsea and in Midtown.” She said they need a lot of space, for offices, kids’ activities, and so on.
