Seen & Heard: Breakfast on N. Moore

BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS
J. sent this shot of a raptor at 80 N. Moore. He said breakfast lasted about a half hour — I guess that’s the time it takes to eat one pigeon with a beak. Feathers flying off the perch is what caught his eye. One of you birders can hopefully tell us what it is?

  1. It looks like a Peregrine Falcon aka a duck hawk. It is renowned for its speed and can reach over 320 km/h during its hunting stoop making it the fastest member of the animal kingdom. Great spot by J. wish i had seen it.
