COFFEE PROJECT IS OPEN
Thanks to L. for the note: the Coffee Project has opened in 450 Washington on the corner of Desbrosses, next to Big Gay Ice Cream. Will get over there this week.
MACY’S FIREWORKS WILL BE ON THE HUDSON
Macy’s is returning its annual Fourth of July fireworks to the Hudson for this summer, 2024 — and likely beyond, when we approach the big whopper anniversary in 2026. The department store said there will be multiple viewing opportunities in Manhattan between West 14th and West 34th streets and in New Jersey, but of course its bound to be a madhouse down here too.
JAZZ IN BOGARDUS
The Will Armstrong Trio will play today, Thursday, at 12:30 to 2p in Bogardus Plaza as part of the weekly jazz lunch series. Next dates are May 16 and May 23.
STRINGS-ON-THE-HUDSON TONIGHT
Nebulous, a traditional string quartet in its instrumentation but with a sound far from ordinary, will perform tonight, Thursday, as part of the Strings on the Hudson Series at the Irish Hunger Memorial Plaza at 6:30p. Free to attend.

The company’s name is Coffee Project NY.
Coffee Project Tribeca: I was there twice last week and was underwhelmed. Coffee was average but on both occasions my wife and I were served room temperature hot coffees. Will be back for Big Gay Ice Cream though!
The coffee was great when I went – they have all of their best people working there to launch it, including one of the company’s founders. At the moment, there’s a good chance you’ll find this guy working. https://www.instagram.com/dqflook/
He’s the 2022 and 2023 US Latte Art Champion.
If your coffee was room temperature, you should have mentioned it to them. They will gladly fix any issue.
