E. sent this shot yesterday — a completely smashed window at Puffy’s. The NYPD did not have a report for me — not even for criminal mischief, which would be the broken window with no burglary — but D. wrote to say that someone witnessed a man throw a garbage can at the window early in the morning — around 6a — then just walk on…

S. sent this shot of Jungle on Mars, which finally closed after hanging on long past the city’s enforcement of illegal cannabis shops.

But somehow the now called Anh Market at Church and White, with its Astroturf on the walls (the prevailing interior design element in these joints) remains. Still same products as far as I can tell, along with the usual pot leaf neon signs.

ANOTHER GUT RENO
Looks like the new leaseholder at the old Harrison space, Meadow Lane, is once again gutting the place — as Maison Kayser and Chanson did before them. Don’t get it. The to-go concept plans to open in fall.
