The construction there, run by the federal General Services Administration, started in 2019 and is not quite wrapped up. FUNDRAISER FOR TWO BRIDGES RESTAURANT
A, wrote to say that Les Enfants de Bohème, the French bistro on Henry Street, has not recovered from covid even four years later and is hosting a fundraiser for itself. “The economic situation, combined with two exceptional incidents beyond our control in the same year (water damage) put us in a very challenging financial situation,” the restaurant said on its GoFundMe page. “Inflation has also hit hardly margins for all restaurants.” They are seeking $40,000 to get them to the next season, and would even consider adding shareholders. See the page here.

Fonda (Tribeca) is such a great spot for delicious Mexican cuisine and fun vibes. The food is always on point, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere lively without being annoying while dining. I hope they continue to do well and don’t make any drastic changes as its just right. Other restaurants, new and existing, should strive to be like Fonda… good food, reasonable prices, consistent quality.
