Halloween takes over the neighborhood

I don’t care what Brooklyn Heights says, Tribeca is the best neighborhood for Halloween. Kids were out in force by 3:30; adults followed not long after, packing The Hideaway and Puffy’s.

And the folks at 21 Jay upped their game — and then some — this year, closing off Jay Street and adding a DJ and a crazy inflatable “corn” maze to the block. (They already create the animatronics Halloween display in front of their entrance.)

Below: that’s Gene from ARC Athletics as a bird to his wife Jane’s bee; the good folks at Boomerang in a tribute to A Very Hungry Caterpillar; Natasha from Ritual Dental and her daughter as dueling Wednesdays; Church Street School sent over a teen band to Duane Park for the afternoon; a life-sized bunny keeps the staff company at Cynthia Rowley; the party had to end at some point at Duane Park Patisserie; and please, a nod of a appreciation for that baby who stared right at the camera.

Til next year…
