Seen & Heard: Happy birthday to the Brandy Library

CELEBRATING 20 YEARS AT THE BRANDY LIBRARY
Happy birthday to the Brandy Library! We all know 20 years in the New York City restaurant scene is like dog years, so really — happy 140th to the sweet spot on N. Moore.

THE LIFE OF KORIN IN PICTURES
Korin has added photos of founder and owner Saori Kawano and her staff with just about every noted chef you can think of — and it is very fun to peruse. And if you haven’t read this Q&A with Kawano, I highly recommend. She has an incredible story of 40+ years in Tribeca.

TURKEYS AT THE GREENMARKET
Two vendors at the Greenmarket carry turkeys, but they have to be pre-ordered. You might still be able to contact either Abundance Acres or Dipaola Turkey for pick up on Saturday: info@abundanceacresfarm.com or online at www.dipaolaturkeyfarm.com/thanksgiving/

FIRE IN THE SOHO CAST IRON DISTRICT
Theo got this photo and the FDNY posted the news on Twitter: “At approximately 2:45 yesterday afternoon, the #FDNY responded to calls for fire at 451 Broome Street in Manhattan. ‘This is a challenging fire in this type of structure. We also activated our drones, an essential part of allowing us to view roof tops from the street,’ said Acting Deputy Chief Jarrod Garritano.” The fire was controlled by 4p, and the cause is under investigation now. The building, at the corner of Broadway, is in the Soho Cast Iron Historic District.
