Happy Thanksgiving to all, and thanks to all who make this a great place to live

Each Thanksgiving I like to acknowledge and thank the folks who volunteer countless hours to make Tribeca one of the most cohesive and welcoming neighborhoods in this town. And this year we have two New Kids on the Block! Big thanks to the Friends of Peck Slip Park (photo above), and the fledgling Friends of Barnett Newman Triangle (below, and more soon). Both groups are greening and cleaning neglected public spaces for the benefit of us all.

As always, my thanks to you readers, commenters and subscribers — you make this whole thing go ’round *and* are my eyes and ears — and to my sponsors and advertisers, who make the Tribeca Citizen an actual (small) business. A special shoutout to longtime Tribecan Charlie Komanoff, who has really helped make sense of the issue du jour: congestion pricing. No matter your opinion on the subject, we can all be grateful he was willing to read the finest of the fine print.

Happy Thanksgiving.

A special shoutout to Pam and Tribeca Citizen for delivering hyper local news with personality and humor while adhering to journalism standards. Thank you!

  2. Kudos to these amazing stewards! Thanks for shining a light on this group.

  3. Yes, thank you, Pam for all that you do. I don’t know you personally, but I sure feel like I do. Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season to you and yours.

  4. Overlooked is Friends of Tribeca Park. A hardy band of volunteers who have dedicated over 20 years to keeping TP, the intersection of East and West Tribeca, looking good. Thanks to partnerships with Friends of Duane Park and The New York HORT, the park is better than ever!
