The Taste of the Seaport will return Saturday, October 25, with top local chefs, celebrated restaurants and small businesses in support of the Peck Slip School and Spruce Street School. There will also be a kids zone and live music. More info here.

Battery Park City’s River & Blues series will end on Thursday, July 31 with jazz and soul singer Lady Blackbird. Doors open at 7; DJ at 7:30; show at 8p.

A blog (?) called Rolling Out reported that Willow and Jaden Smith were seated at Bubby’s outside, when someone started videotaping them. When Willow spotted the man, she got up and left.
SUMMER THURSDAY AT THE MUSEUM OF JEWISH HERITAGE
The Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust will host its final Summer Thursday event of the season on Thursday, August 7, with a seminar on the myths and horror stories within Jewish culture and tradition. There will be a screening of “The Offering,” a film that delivers “good-old-fashioned horror fun” (Marco Vitto Oddo, The Collider) with a Jewish folklore twist, and a lecture on Jewish folklore and horror with The Forward’s culture reporter, P.J. Grisar. A $10 donation is recommended. Refreshments are available for purchase from LOX at Cafe Bergson, the museum’s kosher restaurant.
