N. was able to get a good look at the new tenant for the old Terry’s space at 41 River Terrace. They said they are making a coffee/bakery/deli.

Permits were filed in February with the Department of Buildings for “renovations for a 1st floor coffee shop.” There are not any liquor license applications filed, but they might still have one active at that site.

Terry’s deli was at Chambers and River Terrace — right near the Rockefeller lawn and community garden — for 25 years and closed a year ago February. There’s still a 24-hour deli nearby on North End Avenue, the Battery Park City Gourmet Market.
