The ruling paves the way to move much of Sanitation’s facilities from Gansevoort Street to near the entrance of the Holland Tunnel, much to the chagrin of those who live in the area and are concerned about a fleet of garbage trucks in the neighborhood.” (New York Post) The headline, by the way, was “Snooty Celebs in Santita-shun,” which is a bit much—is it snooty not to want a garbage-truck garage where you live? But then the Post called the area Tribeca, which is just wrong.
