Taste of the Seaport, the annual food festival that supports Peck Slip and Spruce Street schools, is set for next Saturday, September 26 from noon to 4p. There will be more than 50 local restaurants restaurants serving bits, as well as live music, a free KidZone, and VIP experiences. The tents will be set up on Piers 16 and 17; the leading sponsor is Seaport Entertainment Group with support from South Street Seaport Museum, NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine. Restaurants include the new Sadie’s, Andrew Carmellini’s Italian chophouse Carne Mare, Daniel Boulud’s Le Gratin, Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s The Fulton on Pier 17, the highly anticipated Willett’s, the Australian pub Old Mates and Seaport stalwart Cowgirl Seahorse.

The pricing is similar to Taste of Tribeca, with a punch card for six tastes. And as with Taste of Tribeca, there are upgraded tickets that include drinks and bar access, and waterfront VIP tables with service.

The event began on Fulton Street in 2010 to strengthen the Seaport schools and bring the neighborhood together. Proceeds support student enrichment programs, teacher resources and cultural opportunities for students throughout the year.
