FOOD DRIVE AT THE RIGOR HILL FARMERS MARKET
Rigor Hill Market and Family Style Magazine are partnering with the Bowery Mission on Lafayette for a Food Drive and Farmers Market on Saturday, November 14, from 10a to 1p at the market on West Broadway and White. The goal is to raise 2500 pounds of non-perishable goods sourced from the Hudson Valley and available for purchase that day. Those donations, as well as a portion of sales from participating makers and farmers will go directly to the Bowery Mission. One White Street will also donate up to $1000 of their sales from that night.
FRIENDS & FASHION IS COMING UP
The PS 234 PTA’s 17th annual Friends and Fashion fundraiser will take place November 16 to 20, from 9a to 6p each day, at 40 Harrison (which is really 310 Greenwich — the empty storefront right next to the Washington Market Park entrance). This is the event where the PTA solicits used clothing from its parent body for both kids and adults and hosts the sale, which always has lots of good merch! Featured designers include Favorite Daughter, L’Agence, Retrofete and Veronica Beard.
