Tuesday
A blast from the past at 92YTribeca: “Twenty years ago, Sol Wachtler held the highest judicial office in New York state—chief judge of the Court of Appeals—and was on the fast track to become governor. He then engaged in a bizarre course of conduct that resulted in his being arrested and, after having pled guilty to a charge of harassment, was sentenced to 13 months of imprisonment in a federal mental health prison unit. Wachtler shares insights into his bout with mental illness, his rehabilitation and the steps he has taken to rebuild his life.” ••• Write Dhani Jones is at Barnes & Noble Tribeca discussing his book about “Unexpected Lessons from an Around-the-World Sports Odyssey.”

Wednesday
Write Mark Seal drops by 92YTribeca to discuss his book on serial imposter (and worse) Clark Rockefeller. The recent excerpt in WSJ. magazine was pretty interesting. ••• CB1’s Tribeca Committee meets. ••• Horror film Kidnapped (2010) screens at 92YTribeca: It’s “a home-invasion movie that, once it gets going, does not let up on the tension and will keep you squirming in your seat for its duration.” ••• Also at 92YTribeca: “‘100% Happy 88% of the Time’ is a mind-expanding theater experience from acclaimed artist Beth Lapides. Beth combines story, comedy, big ideas, multi-media and catchy original music (written and performed with Mitch Kaplan) for a night of evolutionary entertainment.”

Thursday
Imposter Week at 92YTribeca continues with the creative team behind the “Catch Me If You Can” musical (left). ••• Writer Alex Prud’ Homme discusses his new book, The Ripple Effect (about “the fate of fresh water”) at Barnes & Noble Tribeca; FYI he’s also the great-nephew of Julia Child.

Friday
The Real McCoy—about Andy McCoy, “the founder of Hanoi Rocks […] the most successful rock band in Finland”—screens at 92YTribeca.

Saturday
Lloyd Cole Acoustic Trio plays City Winery. I love this video: He was such a peanut then!

Sunday
New Amsterdam Market and Fulton Stall Market. ••• At City Winery: “An Evening With Sloan Wainwright and Friends including special musical guest Suzzy Roche.”
