••• Prime Essentials‘ pharmacy is now open (including Sunday hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Pictured: the friendly pharmacist Lawrence Josepher.
••• A dance/exercise party—boy, things have changed since I was fun—is being held at Tribeca Cinemas on July 30. It’s called the Sweat Party.
••• From Pier 25: “Pier 25 Mini-Golf will be closed on Thursday, July 21, from 5:30–8:00 p.m. for a special event.”
••• From Trinity Wall Street: “Trinity Wall Street will offer a week of reflection and remembrances for the public with the theme, ‘Remember to Love’ as the 10th anniversary of 9/11 approaches. Observances will be from September 4–11. Highlights include a concert with choirs from New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C. and Boston, and a reunion for first responders, recovery workers and 9/11 volunteers.” The events are free.
••• Theater Bar sent an email that mentioned “Jazz Wednesdays” but then it also said “Wednesday, July 20,” so I don’t know if it’s a one-shot or an ongoing thing (if I hear back I’ll update this). The Bossa Nova Avenue Jazz Band will perform. RSVP: trummerasst@gmail.com or 212-334-3633. UPDATE: The concerts will be every Wednesday; RSVPing is to reserve a seat.
••• “Uprise is a members-only collectors’ club that offers a unique service: rather than purchasing fine art in a gallery, Uprise collectors can subscribe to fine art on a monthly basis.” And Uprise is popping-up a gallery show at Openspace gallery (9 N. Moore) from July 24–31.
••• Tribeca Greenmarket forecast for Wednesday: “Field tomatoes, corn and arugula at Jersey Farm. Gooseberries, currants and apricots at Red Jacket. Metheley plums and white peaches at Toigo.”
