Brooklynite Gallery and FB Gallery are partnering on a pop-up gallery at 368 Broadway: “[It] strives to capture the emotional aftermath of the events of 9/11 as well as a personal interpretation of Dante’s ‘Purgatorio.’ The artist, Guy Denning, is a well respected British oil painter whose focus for this body of work is on the toll the events of 9/11 took on the American citizens, rather than the governmental/war side.” ALSO: Through Saturday, Sept. 3, the space is home to a show of work by street artists, including the Brazilian ones who have been shown at FB Gallery.

Masters & Johnson Pelavin, as Pelavin Gallery is now called, celebrates its new identity with “Motel de Founex,” an exhibit by Jean-Paul Cattin: “Cattin’s large scale photographic prints are romantic, nostalgic, and often haunting observations.”

Pongtopia!, a table tennis fest with “world-class players battling on Center Court, the New York Metro area’s most amazing players competing for the Brookfield Cup championship, top pros offering advice on topspin, and tables painted by legendary graffiti artists on display” at the World Financial Center Winter Garden.

Canstruction—an exhibit of sculptures made with canned food—is at the World Financial Center. Let’s hope there isn’t another earthquake….
