OK, so I got a little overheated about the New York Times’s piece on living in “Civic Center.” But seriously, is Civic Center an actual neighborhood? Does anyone self-identify as living there? Which leads to the bigger—or at least more contentious—question: What are Tribeca’s boundaries these days?

PIZZA, PIZZA! WINE, WINE!
“If it wasn’t for the fact that you people like healthy food I wouldn’t make whole-wheat pizza!” said chef Christopher Meeker during last week’s pizza-and-wine class at New York Vintners. “I support eating for nutrition—as long as it doesn’t inhibit eating for pleasure.” Hear, hear! (P.S. Love that Meeker’s dad commented on the piece.)
