[Right: a rendering.] The all-star board includes World Trade Center developer Larry Silverstein, Brookfield Office Properties Co-Chairman John Zuccotti and First Deputy Mayor Patricia Harris, said Joe Daniels, president of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum foundation, which will support the arts center board in its infancy.” —Wall Street Journal

Did the museum sell it?’ We know only about the potential deal to move the merchant ship Peking to Germany. Anyone have intel about the Ambrose Light Ship?” [Update: See comment.] —Curbed
The South Street Seaport Museum secured a grant from LMDC to make long overdue repairs for their Lightship AMBROSE. Yesterday, the Charles D. McCallister Tug Boat provided (pro bono?) towing services for both the AMBROSE and a float barge to visit the Staten Island shipyard where they will be taken out of the water and repaired in time for the Spring season.
We need everyone to join South Street Seaport Museum to create the critical mass of membership and dollars which will assure its survival!
It is now in the very capable hands of the Museum of the City of New York.
