••• Sherlock Holmes director and Madonna ex Guy Ritchie is said to be opening a pub in Tribeca. It would be a sister property to the Punch Bowl, the pub he and his partners have in the Mayfair area of London. Says the Daily Mail: “They had wanted a New York bar near Central Park but are understood to have settled on Tribeca, home to many celebrities.”

JUST POINTING OUT…

THIS WEEK
••• “Towards Transculturalism,” the third installment of “Here + Now: Chinese Artists in New York” opens on February 11 at the Museum of Chinese in America. The four featured artists are Emily Cheng (whose “TreePlanet” is at left), Hung-Chic Peng, Yo Yo Xiao, and Shen Chen, and the exhibit is up through March 28.
••• The next Pen Parentis salon is Tuesday, Feb. 9, 6 p.m.–8 p.m. The featured authors will be Rachel Sherman, Mark Shulman, and Meg Mullins. What’s Pen Parentis? Read this.
