In the News: Mansion Raises Price

••• “Residents of the streets around Federal Hall increasingly wish that Occupy Wall Street would exercise its First Amendment rights someplace else.” —Broadsheet

••• The president of Ireland visited the Irish Hunger Memorial yesterday. —Downtown Express

••• “The 1862 limestone shoe factory-turned-mansion at 144 Duane Street in Tribeca has been on the market for more than a year now […] so the broker’s taken the perhaps even more mind-blowing step of raising the price. […] The property is now asking $49.5 million.” Gosh, I’d better buy it before the price goes up again! —Curbed

••• “130 Fulton Street loft with incomparable light comps out 3% above 2006 after 13 months of a boring price.” —Manhattan Loft Guy

••• The Friends of Greenwich Street‘s Spring Planting Day is this Sunday (May 6) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Greenwich and Harrison. You can help with plantings (BYO gloves), buy herbs and T-shirts, order a personalized brick ($190) for the promenade. Also: “FGS is looking for volunteers to water, as all the promenade containers are shallow and this winter and spring have been very dry.” This would normally be in a Seen & Heard round-up but I’m not seeing or hearing much today….
