The dispute, which has resulted in Sheldrake being removed as managing member of the overall partnership, is over the use of funds. Or, in Lehman’s words, fraud.”
HUDSON RIVER PARK
The LMCCC (Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center) has an update on progress at Hudson River Park. It’s not new, and at this point I can’t remember what I knew about it, but one part did strike me as something I hadn’t processed yet: “Further north on Pier 34 (at Canal Street), a fishing pier is planned to share the pier where the Holland Tunnel vent shaft is located.” Also, the LMCC lobbed three softballs at Hudson River Park Trust president and CEO, Connie Fishman. Here’s her response about the progress: “Tribeca construction of Pier 25 and the uplands from N. Moore to Chambers Street is expected to be complete in the fall of this year. The new piers and pilings are completely finished, and the three small buildings for utilities, mini-golf, and restrooms/maintenance are now under construction. The mini-golf course, sports field, skate park, and volleyball courts are being installed as well. Once completed they’ll be followed by pavement installation and landscaping. Trees should begin arriving for planting this spring.” Spring? What’s that?
