“The Internet and working with digital images has a direct, even immediate influence on my way of thinking,” explains artist Peter Stanick about his new show Broadway, a series of pieces questioning public perception within an image-saturated urban environment, opening at One Art Space on June 7. He will be present during the opening on June 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. Broadway has also been released as a book on iTunes.

Stanick’s interest in the psychological relationship between image, context, and history began in the early 80’s in the Lower East Side of New York. He has had numerous solo exhibitions in New York, Chicago, Miami, London, Stockholm, Cologne, and Osaka; his work is included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, and the Museum of Art in Osaka.

Broadway runs through June 28 at One Art Space (23 Warren, between Church and Broadway; 646-559-0535).
