THIS WEEKEND
••• The next installment of the Tribeca Cinemas Kids Club is Saturday: The first show is nature footage, followed by The Muppet Movie. After each screening kids can construct an animal puppet in a paper-bag arts-and-crafts project.
••• Through Apr. 3 at the Access Theater: Glee Club. Matthew Freeman’s play—about “a cutthroat men’s chorus on the verge of meltdown”—is being put on by Blue Coyote Theater Group. Tickets are $25, or $15 for tonight’s and tomorrow’s performances.
••• Happiness Is, “a cinematic road trip exploring the myths and the truths of the ‘pursuit of happiness’ in America,” premieres at Tribeca Cinemas on Saturday ($10).
••• Friday at 7:30 p.m., Kiva Cafe hosts a Monologue and Poetry Party. Rob Hylton will be performing monologues from his CD, In America ($5 cover, two-drink minimum).

WHERE THE SIDEWALK BEGINS
The streetscape along Hudson between Beach and Hubert, next to the Holland Tunnel, is taking shape…. It looks like there’ll be some nice spots from which you can watch the construction.
