Saturday Morning in Tribeca

Last Saturday, Marisa McGrody—a photographer, actor, teacher at TriBeCa Community School, and a resident of Tribeca—woke up early and took her camera out to the streets. “I love the feeling of this hood,” she says. “There’s a sense of community and calmness with such beautiful old and new buildings to capture.” She discovered her love for photography in 2008; since then she has shot for the Tribeca Film Festival, Norma Knows New York City, TriBeCa Community School, Time Out New York, Soho House, and countless children’s birthday parties. “I never thought I’d be a photographer, but now I believe everything in life is worth capturing.”
