A 30-year veteran of the fitness industry, Terri Walsh started out working in various prestigious health clubs—including the Vertical Club and Molly Fox Studios—and she was Crunch’s first creative director of programming. But her real passion was inspiring people to achieve their fitness goals, and eventually she chose to open A.R.T. Studio NYC in order to provide clients with more hands-on and focused attention.
At her Soho studio, Terri runs bootcamp classes, designed for women, that utilize her Active Resistance Training method. It’ll allow you to incinerate calories, shed fat, and tone trouble spots, as well as enhance health, vitality, and beauty. The classes are limited to just 10 participants, no workout is ever the same twice. Here’s a sample:
There are two series—register for the upcoming month or join one in progress:
A-LIST BODY1
A condensed combo of increasingly difficult mat or timed circuit-based group bootcamp workouts. Allows you to train with a group and still go at your own pace. (Three times per week.)
A-LIST BODY2
This program is for your hardcore event-based goals—weddings, reunions, photo shoots, anniversaries, old BF coming to town, beach vacation…. You will be pushed. (Five times per week.)
Classes are open to all levels, with a required fitness assessment before and after so your needs can be accommodated within the group. Classes are held throughout the day and evening, and you can choose any combination of days and times to suit your schedule.

Once you get your results, you can move on to the class card system for maintenance and more flexibility: You can book yourself into any class that has space available, and has a three-month expiration date.
