••• Battery Park City is celebrating Earth Week (Earth Day is for amateurs), starting tomorrow. Expect birdwatching, Native American dancing and singing, workshops and panel discussions on issues such as climate change and retrofitting old buildings to make them energy-efficient, large-scale chalk drawings, and much more. ••• On May 3, City Winery is hosting a benefit dinner for relief efforts in Chile, with “chef Ruth Van Waerebeek, award-winning author and executive chef of Chile’s most important winery Concha y Toro.” Also added to the schedule: Suzy Bogguss with Jim Lauderdale (June 15), Dave Alvin and a Couple of Guilty Women (Sept. 3), and Girlyman and Red Molly (Nov. 17).
