• Vintage wallpaper purveyor Secondhand Rose is leaving its Duane Street location. Said owner Suzanne Lipschutz in an email: ” Just don’t need retail location any more. I’m moving to lower 5th Avenue 5th floor in design building. Really never thought Tribecca was a great destination, except for restaurants.”

• Darryl Ng, owner of Canis Minor pet store, said at last night’s Tribeca Meet and Greet that in October his shop will be moving to what was most recently Whippersnappers (Reade, off West Broadway). He’ll have 50 percent more space.

• Curbed got its hands on the revised renderings for 57 Reade—the big condo development that fronts Broadway and has been massively delayed because the building next to it is leaning precipitously. Commenters were not impressed. Said one: “This actually may be a case where the rendering is uglier than the building, but that’s like saying Kim Kardashian is skankier than her sisters.”

• New York magazine’s fall preview had several interesting tidbits in it: In November, Paul di Bari, executive chef at the Flatiron’s Bar Stuzzichini, is opening Stuzzicheria in the old Province space (Church and Walker), where “30 seldom-seen Italian tapas” will be on the menu; Tribeca Cinemas is hosting the New York City Horror Film Festival (Nov. 18–22); eight Tribeca shops—Philip Williams Posters (left), Pearl Paint, Design Within Reach, Whole Foods, Steven Alan, J&R, J. Crew, and Bed, Bath and Beyond—were asked which of their wares they’re most excited about; and an $850 men’s bomber jacket from Steven Alan was showcased as a unisex example of one of the “five big trends for fall.”

• The 8,300-square-foot apartment in the American Thread Building—the one with the recently discovered Keith Haring mural—is no longer for sale, says Curbed. But you can rent it for $35K a month.

•  “The 92nd Street Y in Tribeca will offer a Little Shop of Horrors Sing-Along at 11pm on Sat., Oct. 24,” says Theatermania, and one of its contributors, Raven Snook, will be doling out trivia and prizes. Costumes are encouraged.

• “Manhattan apartment rents fell as much as 10 percent in August from a year ago,” reports Bloomberg.com. Of local note: “Soho and Tribeca were the most expensive neighborhoods” when it comes to buildings with doormen.
