Today is Kidville‘s last day at 200 Church (at Duane). The kids’ playspace/preschool alternative/shop has outgrown the space, say the folks there. But like the Hydra—but friendlier!—two new Kidvilles are springing up. The first one will be at 40 Gold (between Fulton and John); the franchisees are Sadia and Patrick Brangan, who live on the east side of City Hall and have Thread salon in the area. “Once you cross City Hall Park, there’s hardly anything for kids,” says Sadia. “We’re hoping to open in the fall.” The second Kidville will be in “north Tribeca/Soho,” according to Kidville staffers, but the lease hasn’t been signed yet. It, too, will have local franchisees. And both will be larger than the 200 Church location.
