In the News: Citi Bike Launch Date

••• “It’s official: Citi Bike will debut on Memorial Day, making the commute to that awkward barbeque your boss is throwing on the tiny ledge of his Tribeca apartment that much easier. For the first week, bike share will only be available for members. ••• From a Broadsheet article about the bike-share racks: “Plans for another Citi Bike kiosk, which was to be located at the corner of South End Avenue and Albany Street (on the northeast corner, near the World Financial Center parking garage) have been cancelled, because of objections from Brookfield Properties, which owns the World Financial Center.”
