Those of us who like cool jazz, excellent drinks, and/or elegant nightlife in general are in for a terrible shock: Silver Lining, the sophisticated, swanky jazz bar on Murray is closing next month. “We are very sad to be leaving,” said Joseph Schwartz and Vito Dieterle in an email, citing irreconcilable differences with the landlord. “Having spent the better part of three years in this part of Tribeca, we are sad to consider moving elsewhere and continue to actively seek another nearby locale in which to offer our services. If you know anyone who appreciated what we do and may have a space available please do let us know as we would very much so love to continue to serve Tribeca. A community we have truly loved to serve indeed.”

Have you been to b flat on Church St? (White & Franklin) They have Jazz Live every Monday & Wednesday @ 8:00-11:00 p.m. Really good drinks, too!
This is sad news. I love Silver Lining. I had a truly fantastic New Year’s there this past winter, one that I will never forget, even though I can only partly remember it. The combination of sophisticated atmosphere, amazing cocktails, friendly bar staff, and live music made it a special place.
+1 for B-Flat. But Silver Lining will def be missed. One of my few fave bars in all of NYC.
I love B Flat but the great thing about Silver Lining—one of the great things about Silver Lining—is that you could enjoy the music and still chat a bit. Last time I went to B Flat, the jazz, while excellent, was deafening.
Come to NW TriBeCa!
What will happen to YO !?
Will truly miss Silver Lining. They had the best cocktails and amazing atmosphere with the live jazz bands. Had many an Old Fashioned there. Thanks for the great memories.
By the way, NW TriBeCa sounds great!
