••• The May/June issue of Edible Manhattan has a longish article on Washington Market—whence* the name of the park—with some nice historical photos. (They call it “the original Taste of Tribeca,” which is cute.) Elsewhere in the issue: Paul Grieco of Terroir pops up in a wine-related article whose point is a mystery to me, and RBC NYC appears in a profile of “coffee superstar” (?) Dallis. *My first-ever usage of whence!

••• “The Metropolitan Transportation Authority will begin eviction proceedings on Monday against one of the city’s most prestigious experimental-theater companies unless more than $306,000 the MTA says it’s owed in back rent and interest is paid. The MTA notified the group, 3-Legged Dog, of the impending eviction from 80 Greenwich St. on Friday, the group said. Both sides said they have been attempting to work out an agreement during the past year.” (Wall Street Journal)
