••• The lawsuit to stop the Criminal Summons Court’s move to 71 Thomas (at W. Broadway) has made some progress: The move was temporarily blocked till January 15. As you know, lawsuits cost money, and so the folks leading opposition to are holding a fundraiser. They also have a new website where you can keep up with the cause (and give to it without leaving home).

••• From the LMCCC: “Ongoing Hurricane-Sandy recovery efforts on the PATH rail system will continue over the next three weekends, as crews work to continue removing corrosive salt from rails, equipment and tunnels [….] The $50 million project requires full-weekend service suspensions for PATH trains between the World Trade Center and Exchange Place stations, beginning late Friday nights through Monday mornings of November 9-10, 16-17 and 23-24.”

••• Artist (and TC contributor) John Willenbecher has something for you couch potatoes: “I recently (and rather uncharacteristically) designed a polar fleece throw—and it is being produced and marketed by another Tribecan, Marcia Wilson. (She owned the recently and sadly departed Daffy’s chain of discount stores. She now has a website-only Daffy’s and the throw is available there.”
