February 7, 2014 Restaurant/Bar News
The updated Community Board 1 agendas have this bombshell (well, to a certain kind of media watcher):
5 White Street, application for transfer of liquor license to entity to be formed by Dan Abrams.
That’s (a) the Churrascaria Tribeca space; (b) the same Dan Abrams who is a co-anchor of “Nightline” and who started Mediaite and other websites and who opened the restaurant The Lion with his pal Dave Zinczenko, best known for having edited Men’s Health.
I hear that Robert Collins of Lure in Soho is still involved. Whether it’s still going to be Pescado, a Mexican seafood restaurant, I don’t know—but mo matter what, it’s sure to be the kind of place that generates a lot of press (and not just here).
Are you sure you don’t want to go to the CB1 Tribeca meeting on Wednesday to find out more?
